It enables the human body to create a balance between sodium and potassium due to its high potassium content. There’s more, you can add them into your diet in different ways such as fruit salad, eating as a fruit, adding to your breakfast like pancakes and cereals or blending into smoothies.

Beets: Several people only remember beets when they want to add a pop of colour to their foods. However, beats are perfect for controlling hypertension. With its nitrates content, it is suitable for enhancing blood flow when converted into nitric oxide. You can add them to your diet by juicing, blending them into smoothies, salads and soups.

Leafy greens: leafy greens are part of the versatile foods that can lower blood pressure. And they are far easier to incorporate into your diet. Leafy greens contain potassium that helps the body balance sodium in the body. Leafy greens can be used in smoothies, salads, soups, stews, etc.

Berries: Another fruit you shouldn’t ignore in your diet is berries. Their flavonoids and nitric oxide content are instrumental in fighting hypertension and lower blood pressure. Brries can form part of your breakfast options by snacking on them, adding in smoothies, cereals, and fruit salads.

Oats: Oats are part of foods that lower blood pressure. Yet several people are abandoning them as a breakfast option for cereals. With an oa-rich diet, one can kiss goodbye to high cholesterol levels and enhance heart health.  Oats can be eaten with berries and added to smoothies, pancakes, etc.
