The Paul Schrader interview has now revealed that contrary to the story that Taylor Swift broke up with Joe Alwyn, the reverse was the case. It was Joe Alwyn who pulled the plug on that relationship. The Taxi Driver director cleared the air in his latest interview.

The taxi driver Director was asked, “You’ve mentioned in a post that her life story (Taylor Swift) would make a good movie. Would you ever consider her for one of your movies? Would that ever interest you? Paul Schrader on Taylor Swift noted, “It could be very distracting. It would have to be cast right out of the gate. There was a film I wanted to do a few years ago with Joe Alwyn when he was going out with her.”
