Zoe Kravitz and Channing Tatum have joined one of the most peaceful Hollywood breakups of all time. Despite recently calling off their engagement, the actress has nothing but praises for her ex in a new interview implying that their breakup was truly amicable.
On her Thursday appearance on Variety’s Directors on Directors, the 36-year-old actress has nothing but glowing compliments for her ex-fiance. Recall that the former celebrity couple starred together in Blink Twice. And so when asked about him in the interview, she said, “Channing was the first person I thought of for Slater King, and I don’t know where that came from, similar to you.”
Adding “I knew that the character needed to be somebody who we think we trust, especially because you don’t believe Naomi [Ackie] is getting on that plane.” if it’s someone who is immediately insidious. I wanted to weaponize his charisma. We’ve never seen him do something like that,” Zoe Kravitz shared.
This remark about his charisma is proof that the former couple who split in October made a mutual decision to call off their relationship. This is contrary to various speculations that Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz breakup was not a mutual decision. The interview showed that the former couple still hold each other in high regard. Recall that they dated for 3 years ultimately getting engaged.
But instead of the wedding plans, the former couple decided to pull the plug on their relationship. Some of the reasons for their breakup include focusing on their career, demanding schedules and the fact that it is said that they are growing apart. It also seemed like Zoe Kravitz did not want to get married again.

Apparently, she is a very independent person and communicated to Channing Tatum that she didn’t necessarily need to get married again. But their amicable breakup means that they still be in movies together and even be friends. For instance, both were cast in the new movie, Alpha Gang.
Shooting is expected to begin sometime in mid to late 2025. Their already-released movie Blink Twice follows the plot of a group of women who are exposed to strange occurrences after being invited to the private island of a billionaire tech mogul with his wealthy male friends.
