Timothee Chalamet and Saoirse Ronan are co-stars in Lady Bird (2017), Little Women (2019) and The French Dispatch (2021). Although they had no scenes together in the third, they had a much more relaxing and soft on-screen chemistry in the second.
Their latest appearance on BFI, saw them reuniting in London to discuss the previous two films they starred in together at the earlier stages of their careers. Both have different movies nominated for awards next year with A Complete Unknown Dune: Part Two for Timothee Chalamet and for Ronan The Outrun and Blitz.

For the British Film Institute and Vanity Fair at the BFI Southbank, Timothee Chalamet and Saoirse Ronan spoke about their movie Lady Bird and Little Women directed by Greta Gerwig. Interestingly be for their first movie, the two stars have not met each other but Timothee has heard about Saiorse.
But fortunately for them upon meeting each other, they clicked immediately. Saoirse Ronan shared, “We were very lucky that we clicked straight away and we had Greta, who from day one seemed to be so excited about what was happening between the two of us.” An consequently reunited for the 2019 Little Women.
But Timothee Chalamet and Saoirse Ronan landed their little women roles different. For the actress, it was during the promotion of “Lady Bird’ when she asked the director if she would be Jo March. Ronan noted that she told Greta Gerwig, “I sort of had to tell her that I was going to be in it.”
“She hadn’t sort oflanded on me yet, and were in the middle of promoting ‘Lady Bird’ and I was like, ‘By the way, I’m going to be Jo, right?’ And she was like, ‘I guess, sure.” There on-screen friendship was so genuine that Greta asked Timothee Chalamet to Laurie when he was in Budapest filming another movie.
The reunion between Timothee Chalanet and Saoirse Ronan is buzzing across social media with several noting that if they date, it would be such a drama-free relationship. Unfortunately, she appears not to into him and sees him as a little brother. In her words, “We had Timothée who we adore so much and we love to take care of and he lets us take care of him.”
