Adele Channels Her Favourite Meryl Streep Character For Las Vegas Residency
Iconic things have been happening to Adele and her Las Vegas residency show and fans are all for it. Recall that last two weekend the singer had a full-circle moment as her idol Celine Dion made an appearance at her show.
Apparently, the venue of her performance was the I Drove All Night crooner’s former performance venue. And so her appearance greatly awed Adele. Now, something interesting has happened again as Meryl Streep was also captured at the weekend performance.

And for something better, Adele was channelling her character Madeline in Death Become her. The Someone Like You singer had donned a long-sleeved gown worn by the actress and her side-parted blonde hair in the iconic scene where she was fighting with Helen.
In Death Becomes Her, Meryl Streep starred as Madeline, a Broadway actress. She and her antagonist Helen, an aspiring writer are arch rivals and fall in love with the same man. They drink a potion to stay young, only to realize that they have become immortal.

In the Las Vegas residency show, Adele wore the dress but with a pair of black pants adding rows of matching necklaces, huge pearl-shaped earrings, her engagement ring, and similar make-up similar to Mery Streep in Death Becomes Her.
Adele’s Las Vegas residency, Weekends with Adele started on November 18, 2022, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The residency has been extended and will conclude on November 23, 2024.
