And Taylor Swift and her boyfriend are not left behind alongside other celebrities. While it is not clear if her home was affected in the Los Angeles wildfires, the star donated a staggering $10 million to Southern California wildfire relief efforts, while her NFL boyfriendTravis Kelce joined in and donated $1 million.
Apart from her, other celebrities such as Selena Gomez, Jamie Lee Curtis, Disney, Kylie Jenner, NFL, Freddy Freeman etc have also donated. Some donations did not include money like Harry and Meghan Markle who donated clothing, children’s items and other supplies and have directed people to support organizations.
Similarly, Jennifer Garner is helping aid with supplies, Snoop Dogg is donating clothes and supplies Lola blankets and providing shelter for free to the victims of the Los Angeles wildfires while Pizza Girl is feeding both the victims and firefighters.
Currently, firefighters are heavily tasked with containing the frontiers of two Los Angeles wildfires before upcoming high winds fan the flames anew while several critics are noting that Taylor Swift’s donations are meagre. One such critic wrote, “All the money she has and that’s all she donated. Don’t get me wrong. It was nice of her to do that but come on.”
Yet another added, “She is worth 1.6 billion… 10 million USD is 0.625% of 1.6 billion USD.” A third added, “Pocket change to a billionaire. And a tax write-off.” A fourth wrote, “What horrible remarks being made. I would like to know how much some of you have donated. Thank God for our celebrities and their help and their donations.”
