Katy Perry Praises Taylor Swift's Eras Tour After Ending Bitter Feud
A few years back, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry were in the most nasty feud but eventually settled. And to show goodwill at the end, Katy later appeared in Taylor’s music video for You Need to Calm Down. But before then, there was a lot of media biting and statements from both stars.
Now, it appears that the rift is finally over as the Woman singer recalls her interaction with Taylor while attending her concert in Sydney. In her interview with the UK. radio station Capital shared on TikTok, she said, “I went and did a show in Australia very quickly and I had one day off before the show and I was like, “Hey girl, I’m gonna come to the show.” “And [Swift] was so excited and I was so excited.”
At the Eras tour, Katy Perry took pictures of them at the concert in February 2024 and also showed off the photo during the interview. She also shared details of swapping bracelets with Taylor and Swifties. She further has something nice to say about Swifties. She described them as “an adorable sweet community”

People gave me bracelets and I think Rita [Ora gave me a bracelet.” “I loved it. It’s just like a community, it’s an adorable sweet community.” Katy also noted that she went to see Taylor Swift after the show and they gisted and caught up with each other. While the interview reveals that the duo has indeed made up, it does not mean that the feud didn’t happen at all.
Heres what started it. Taylor Swift got furious that three dancers including Lockhard Brownlie and two others left her tour for Katy’s Prismatic Tour. The dancers were with Katy previously before switching to Taylor but at the time, they were not dancing for Taylor. Then Brownlie’s statement reads, “We were with Katy for two and a half years, she’s like family to us, so we were like, “Absolutely.” “We weren’t dancing in Taylor’s tour anyway, so I had gotten a little bored!”
Unfortunately, Taylor Swift described the situation to Rolling Stone in 2014 noting that what Katy did via the dancers was something horrible and the harshest insult of her life. She noted that Katy Perry sabotaged her entire tour and so they are enemies. Katy was also said to be the inspiration behind Taylor’s track, Bad Blood.
Katy also released Swish Swish, which is allegedly about Taylor Swift. Several interviews were granted on the feud but the most defining evidence of the feud is Taylor released her entire catalogue on Spotify after years of speaking out against the streaming service. This was on the same day that Katy released Witness.
In 2017, Katy noted that she had forgiven Taylor on her Thrive Podcast appearance and changed her song’s lyrics. But Taylor held on to the beef till one year later when Katy sent an olive branch for the opening night of her Reputation World Tour. “Thank you, Katy, Taylor said in an Instagram post with a photo of the gift.”
