
Marketing Strategy Or Truth? Timothee Chalamet Spills Tea About Being Bodyshamed By Hollywood Directors
Timothee Chalamet body shaming by agent has remained the buzz of social media after he spoke about not landing roles in several blockbuster movies due to it. The actor who is currently Hollywood heartthrob is not only average but has a lithe body which means he was considered not the right size by directors.
In his interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, he detailed the answer he got after auditioning for movies like Divergent and Maze Runner. He noted that an agent once told him that to get casted in those movies, he needed to put on weight because, You don’t have the right body.” Accordingly his physique was said to be suited for his curent roles.

According to him he had to settle to paralleling his own rise to fame through smaller, indie films like Lady Bird, Call Me By Your Name, Little Women, Hot Summer Nights and Dylan’s rise as a small folk singer act. This is because of the body shaming that prevented him from bigger screens.
“Those were smaller budget, but very — I don’t know how else to put it — personable movies that started in this theater space. This is where I found my rhythm, my confidence, my flow, whatever you want to call it,” He told Zane Lowe. Reacting to the Timothee Chalamet body shaming interview by the star several fans reiterated that it is false.
That it never happened noting it was a marketing strategy to direct attention to his upcoming releases. However others were sympathetic. One fan wrote, “Its so bizarre that literally no one can just fucking exist without being held to some impossible standard that everyone is sick of but yet still abides by. Like can we just exist as we are?”
Another reaction to the Timothee Chalamet body shaming wrote, “Honestly, good for him. We have enough actors on steroids. I still can’t believe what Miles Teller, Kumal Nanjiani and Zac Efron have done to themselves.”
