Olivia Rodrigo Celebrates New Milestone With Lancome Ambassador Deal
Olivia Rodrigo is the new Lancome ambassador as announced on November 18th following the success of her Guts World Tour. The star who is currently making waves in the music industry after her idol Taylor Swift is part of the brands decision to widen its demographic appeal.
Talking about her latest deal, Olivia Rodrigo spoke on the importance of being oneself and finding self-worth in one’s self. Part of her statement read, “Embracing your individuality is so important in beauty since there are many unrealistic expectations placed on young women today.” “Lancôme is an iconic and timeless brand that promotes beauty from within and I am honored to be part of their family.”

The Lancome ambassador deal came out of the brand’s goal of broadening their appeal. The star is too fun and youthful for Lancome beauty and her makeup is usually classic which is different from the brand’s identity. However, the deal serves as an indication that the brand is trying to get a different demographic interested in their products.

Another suggestion towards her latest deal is that Lancome’s last year ambassadors Iga Swiatek and Qinwen Zheng (two young succesful tennis players) were equally for the same reason. Brands are always looking to expand the uncharted territories and with Olivia’s fans, they might just succeed.

Other celebrities that are Lancome ambassadors include Julia Roberts, Lily Collins, Emma Chamberlain, Amanda Seyfried and Joy Sunday. To commemorate her new deal, Lancome shared a bold image of Olivia sporting a crimson-red lips and winged eyeliners.
