Pregnant Jennifer Lawrence is enjoying her pregnancy despite the backlash she is facing over her new documentary Bread & Roses. The movie was set in Afghanistan when the Taliban took over the country deposing the governing body in place since 2004.
But the actress is not fazed, instead, she continues to test the waters with her maternity style, especially in her latest outing on Sunday. The mother of one was spotted in New York City on Sunday without her husband, Cooke Maloney whom she shares one child and expecting the second.
Pregnant Jennifer Lawrence completely humbled pregnancy as she looked incredibly beautiful and glowy in a new maternity style. Indeed pregnancy agrees with her. For the Sunday outing, the star took her fall dressing too seriously as she completely covered up against the chilly weather.
Her maternity style features a pair of dark blue wide-legged pants and a yellow shirt layered over a black sweater. She added a black jacket to the look completing it with a pair of Puma Speedcats, a red and white scarf and a pair of dark sunglasses to shield her face from the sun.
The latest outing comes amid backlash from critics over the new Taliban documentary Bread & Roses. The X-Men star produced the documentary Bread & Roses which features the plot of three Afghanistan women under Taliban oppression after the fall of Kabul.
Unfortunately, several critics believe the documentary is detrimental to her career and life. They believe Pregnant Jennifer Lawrence did not understand how dangerous and damning it could be. Other critics focused on undermining her intelligence noting that she is not smart enough to discuss politics.
But the star clapped back at critics on CBS Mornings saying “[Trolls] always say different things. I did a ’60 Minutes’ interview once where I explained that I dropped out of middle school, so I technically am not educated. A common one with this [documentary] is “Why is someone without an education trying to talk about politics?” To that, I say it’s not political, it’s people’s lives.”
