Timothee Chalamet’s new movie Marty Supreme is currently in production and a scene particularly got steamy. The actor and his co-star Gwyneth Paltrow were captured on camera kissing passionately.
Fans have something to say something about the scene itself and the actor’s acting talent. And it’s not good. Most commenters noted that Timothee while a natural on camera with many fans liking him in movies, that his acting in particular is terrible.
Using the Marty Supreme scene as an example, one fan wrote that Timothee Chalamet and Gwyneth’s intimate scene, “looks like a very awkward kiss. Everything is awkward with him. Allow me to rant: I’m no hater, but Hollywood intentionally propels certain actors (white males) to stardom.”
Adding, “Whether it’s because a top executive likes him, favouritism whatever He attended Columbia and undoubtedly is a knowledgeable thespian….but there’s better, more diverse talent out there,” the comment ended. A second user added,” This. There’s probably a multitude of lesser-known actors who could easily and better play some of the roles he’s been cast in.”
“(not saying he is untalented) but the studios know if they slap his name on something people will come running regardless of whether it’s good or not. Especially since some of his fans are absolutely, fucking insane.” A third critic termed Timothee Chalamet a mid-actor.
Talking about his expectations in the Marty Supreme movie, the user wrote, “He’s awkward in his movements, his proportions are badly off, and he looks like he has missed several meals, but THE CAMERA LOVES HIM. Until TC, I thought that line was bullshit, then I saw several of his movies, and I have to say, the difference between his photos and his on-screen presence is like he’s two different people.”
“He’s incredible on film and I’d never look twice at him in real life. There may be better talent, and there’s plenty of diverse talent out there for sure, but TC has actual Star Quality and that can’t be taught. Go after the Baldwin family with this rant. One of those siblings has actual acting talent or stage presence. The rest of them just sit on Alec’s massive coattails raking in money for roles that literally anyone could do a better, more convincing job .”
It is still not clear when Marty Supreme will be released but the plots are currently under wraps and its theme falls under sports. The film is written and directed by Josh Safdie. Cast includes Timothée Chalamet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tyler, the Creator, Odessa A’zion, Penn Jillette, Kevin O’Leary, Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher.
