News of Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan’s breakup filtered in on December 3rd after a year long romance. Recall that the former couple first sparked relationship rumours in December 2023 after they were spotted at a dinner date together in Los Angeles.

Following their breakup a source confirmed to People  that indeed the relationship was over. Per people source, “They are both young and career-focused, so they’ve decided to take a break.” While its not clear then why the breakup happened, an X formerly Twitter user has now tweeted why.

According to the X user named Hollywood Deals, Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan’s breakup happened because the relationship was cursed. The tweet read, “gutted to hear that Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan, my favorite celebrity couple who resemble dolls that have been brought to life by a curse, have split.”

While the X user may just be simply catching cruise, an insider told TBN that, the couple split because they have contradicting opinions regarding the Syrian Civil War. “Barry Keoghan is good friends with Al-Assad via a previous relationship of dating his wife’s niece. Carpenter on her part had an affinity for the Syrian Free Army because their electoral symbol is of a carpenter,” the source shared.

Recall that she wrote songs about Shawn Mendes after their brief relationship. A fan teased that the album is ready writing “The breakup album- oh wait she already made em.”

Another fan commented that she is stepping into Taylor Swift’s tuft. “you think taylOr’s gonna be ok with another woman stepping into her market??,” the fan asked. If she does really write a song about Barry, then definitely she is copying Taylor Swift who enjoys making song about her exes.
