The assualt ended Rihanna and Chris Brown relationship. And worse for Chris, he got five years of probation plus community service alongside a reputation for being an abuser. And the upcoming documentary, Chris Brown: A History of Violence is once again casting a dark shadow on his career again.
A clip from the documentary which was released on Sunday and social media users has something to say about Chris Brown and they are not singing his praises. One fan lamented that the rapper should not have a career after what he did to Rihanna.
Another noted that the Rihanna and Chris Brown relationship saga is enough for fans to boycott the rapper. “It’s all there in the police report. Terrible that photos of her battered face were leaked, but I don’t understand how you see all of this and still support this monster.”
Another wrote, “The transcript of Rihanna describing that situation in the car is horrifying to read and the pictures were traumatizing. He got away with abusing Rihanna without any long lasting consequences and she’s a woman who is objectively more successful than him which demonstrates DV is insidious and doesn’t have a specific look or socioeconomic status.”
“This man has a long history of abusing women and violently attacking people unprovoked countless of times throughout the years. I hope this documentary finally leads to this violent asshole’s complete downfall. I’m glad this documentary is giving his victims a platform to share their experiences and I hope they get the justice they deserve.”
While some comments were bashing Chris Brown on social media, the YouTube post of the documentary Chris Brown: A History of Violence, saw several others defending him that he only made a mistake then and so should not be crucified again.
The relationship between Rihanna and Chris Brown may have ended on bad terms but the pop stars are still cordial to this day. Both have equally moved on with different partners and now have kids.
